Table of Contents

best hotel in mykonos – This Cycladic island has a spirit of its own, a heady mix of bougainvillea-clad, sunlit, whitewashed streets where mopeds pass by streetside taverns and crescent-shaped bays made for daytime posing and hanging out—partying at night.

Regarding accommodation, no Greek island is more glamorous than this one. This island has been in fashion ever since Shirley Valentine stepped onto its sands, and it still hasn’t lost its touch. So whether you’re looking for champagne on arrival, kitesurfing lessons, or a yacht you can (almost) call your own, our selection of the best hotels on the island should provide a place you want to return to again.

Do you want to know the best hotels in Mykonos (Mykonos)? Throughout this article, I will try to answer this question, although it has been challenging to make this list. In addition, the post will find many other tips for booking the most recommended hotels in Mykonos. Let’s start!
If you have doubts about where to choose your hotel in Mykonos, I will say that the best option is Mykonos Town, the largest and most beautiful town on the island and the best connected. A small town with a wide range of restaurants, shops and pubs.
Other areas to consider are Ornos and Platys Gialos, which have some of the best hotels in Mykonos for families.
If you want a “destroyer” party, the best area in Mykonos is Paradise Beach.
Finally, if you are looking for a disconnection and LGBT atmosphere, the best gay hotels in Mykonos are Elia Beach and Mykonos Town.

The best hotels in Mykonos for all budgets and circumstances

Organize the trip yourself; it will always be cheaper than doing it through a travel agency. I recommend you book several months in advance. Mykonos, especially in July and August, prices tend to rise as the date approaches. To do this, I recommend that your hotel reservation has free cancellation, a feature that allows you to contract with time without losing your money.

Some guests complain of noise in rooms.

The hotel website shows an infinity pool, but it is a suite layout and not for guest use,

Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort is a design-forward luxury property with many of the same features (chic outdoor pool, beach facilities, spa, restaurants) as its competitors in this price range. Suites have private collections, two bedrooms, and telescopes for stargazing. Other rooms have minimalist decor and open-air balconies, which are less than private. The small beach is lovely, with loungers reserved for guests only, but it’s a bit pebbly. For access to a slightly wider stretch of sand, visitors might want to check out Myconian Villa Collection (overlooking Elia Beach) or Petasos Beach Hotel (situated on a peninsula between the very popular Platis Yialos and Psarou beaches). Many, however, prefer the seclusion offered here.

Myconian Villa Collection

A five-minute walk from Elia beach, The hotel has a private area.
Beautifully decorated private villas with plunge pools and sea views, or luxurious rooms, some with Jacuzzis
Free sunbeds and umbrellas.
Breakfast is included in the room’s price.
Outdoor infinity saltwater pool with bar and restaurant, plus complimentary snacks
A Mediterranean restaurant, Cabbanes, for outdoor dining with panoramic ocean views.
On-site spa with thalassotherapy treatments and fitness center
Free Wi-Fi, parking, breakfast, and transportation to Mykonos Town
Villa reservations include free airport transfers and champagne.

The isolated location, about 30 minutes from Mykonos Town
The shuttle service to Mykonos is often crowded and runs at inconvenient times.
Double beds are two single beds joined.

Myconian Villa Collection is a luxury property overlooking the relatively quiet Elia Beach (it can get crowded, but it’s not the party scene found on the Mykonos Town sand) with modern villas and plenty of luxurious features. Highlights include a saltwater infinity pool, a private beach on the Aegean Sea (a five-minute walk from the hotel), and an on-site spa with saltwater therapy treatments. Stays can be upgraded with luxury yacht charters or private chefs. A free shuttle into town and a buffet breakfast is included in the room’s cost. The hotel has many of the same (if not better) features and better digs than the nearby (and similarly priced) Myconian Imperial Hotel & Thalasso Center.

Dig Tagoo

Infinity-edge saltwater pool with floating loungers and a lively bar
Some rooms have outdoor hot tubs or plunge pools
A fitness center, sauna, and spa
Generous complimentary breakfast with local specialties

Free shuttle service to Mykonos town
Free Wi-Fi and parking
On-site clothing store

The pool area can get crowded and chaotic

Complimentary bottled water in the room for the first day
The best beaches are on the other side of the island

Hugging a cliff above the Aegean Sea, the five-pearl Cavo Tagoo offers one spectacular view from its multi-tiered terraces and windows. This 80-room boutique hotel whispers “barefoot luxury,” the result of a 2007 renovation that combines the simplicity of whitewashed walls and sophisticated art and ultra-modern furnishings. The party scene in town is five minutes away via the hotel’s free shuttle, but there’s also plenty of action (some complain there’s too much) at the pool bar for guests who want to mingle. Rooms — with stone walls, wood floors, and beamed ceilings — are lovely and elegant, and some have private plunge pools that create a beautiful romantic setting for a honeymoon or couples retreat. This is one of the best luxury hotels in Mykonos; travelers looking for a slightly more affordable (but still upscale) option near Mykonos Town should consider Boheme or the Kouros Hotel & Suites.

Boheme artfully blends the relaxed atmosphere of a luxury hotel with a hip boutique aesthetic – all within easy reach of Mykonos’ vibrant nightlife while still being a comfortable distance down the road from the center of it all. With just 20 suites, all of which have sea views, the property maintains a relaxed atmosphere. Everything has ocean views from this posh hillside, including the outdoor pool, spa, and open-air restaurant and bar. It stands out for its sophisticated bohemian-chic decor and beautiful setting; the talented staff makes delicious lemonade from the lemons that grow in the gardens. This is one of the top luxury options near Mykonos town, along with the more expensive Cavo Tagoo’s Kouros Hotel & Suites.

Its rooms are fresh and modern, with sleek, nicely designed furnishings and stunning views from the balconies or terraces. As an alternative, the Hermes Mykonos Hotel also has spectacular views and is close to town, but it doesn’t have a gym or hot tub.

Royal Myconian Resort & Thalasso Spa Center is a luxury chain hotel with 148 elegant rooms, including suites and villas, on a steep hill above beautiful Elia Beach, where hotel guests have access to a private section with sun loungers. Views of the Aegean Sea are from the hotel restaurant and the pool area. In addition to the large swimming pool, the hotel has a small collection for children and an outdoor Jacuzzi. The hotel’s spa offers guests a free daily thalassotherapy session, and private in-room beauty treatments are available for a fee. Mykonos is a 25-minute ride via hotel transport.

Rooms can be underwhelming compared to public spaces
The free shuttle into town has inconvenient hours
Some rooms have better views than others

Myconian Imperial Hotel & Thalasso Center is a magnificent luxury hotel on the island of Mykonos. It’s where honeymooners can arrive via helicopter and dine on sushi with sun views across the Aegean Sea. The hotel’s spa includes thalassotherapy treatments, facials, and after-sun treatments. In addition, there’s a private section of beach and beautiful outdoor pools — one has a swim-up bar. Rooms are elegant and spacious, if not quite five-star expectations; some have private hot tubs on balconies, but the quality of ocean views varies. Unfortunately, the hotel is located in a quiet part of the island, so a Land Rover is required to get to the action — or guests can take the inconveniently timed free shuttle.

    Petasos Beach Resort & Spa

It is located on a private peninsula between the beaches of Platis Yialos and Psarou.
Modern rooms and some have sea views and steam rooms.
A two-tier outdoor pool and hot tub
The VIP restaurant serves breakfast and dinner on an outdoor terrace overlooking the Aegean Sea.
Le Club restaurant and pool bar serve light meals and cocktails.
    Free parking and breakfast.
5,380-square-foot Aqua Marine spa offers thalassotherapy treatments
Free sauna and steam rooms for all guests.
The bus stop to Mykonos is outside the front door of the hotel.
There’s a laptop with a printer and a small library for guest use.

    Wi-Fi fee
Balconies and private pools can be seen from upstairs rooms, compromising privacy.
The hotel does not have private beach facilities, which translates to fees for chairs and umbrellas.

Petasos Beach Hotel & Spa is a luxury property built in the traditional Cycladic architecture style prevalent in Mykonos. It has many of the same features as its competitors (large spa, pool, beach access, restaurants, and fitness center). However, unlike its competitors, the hotel doesn’t own any beach facilities. So expect to pay extra for a chair and umbrella on the sand. However, those looking for more activity may prefer this location: the nearby beaches are among the most popular on the island, and several restaurants and shops are nearby (more competitive properties tend to be more secluded). Please note that the views on the hotel website are primarily private suites and may not be available in many rooms. Mykonos town is about 3 km from the hotel, and a bus stops outside the front doors.

Myconian Ambassador Relais & Chateaux Hotel

Elegant, white, spacious rooms with ocean views
Large infinity pool with ocean views and cushioned loungers
Within walking distance of Platis Gialos, one of the best beaches on the south coast

The spa provides free daily thalassotherapy session
Mirror-walled gym with multiple weight and cardio machines
    free buffet breakfast
    Free Wi-Fi in rooms
    Free airport shuttle

    No coffee makers in rooms

Myconian Ambassador Hotel & Thalasso Spa Center is a luxury hotel (part of the Relais & Chateaux chain) with 70 rooms overlooking Platis Gialos. Guests love the hotel’s little extras, like juice at check-in and ice cream by the pool. The rooms are elegant, white, and spacious, offering ocean views. The hotel has an outdoor infinity pool and a restaurant serving Mediterranean, Greek, and Mykonos dishes. The indoor spa offers guests a free daily thalassotherapy session, and the hotel has a gym with several weights and cardio machines. Free airport shuttle service is available. It is a few steps from the beautiful beach of Platis Gialos and a 12-minute drive from Mykonos town.

    Palladium Hotel

Considered by many to be the best hotel in Mykonos, the Palladium Hotel exudes exclusivity and luxury throughout. It is a 5-star hotel located in Platys Gialos, a 5-minute walk from the beaches of Psarou and Platys Gialos, two of the best beaches in Mykonos, where you can stay in rooms and suites with a hot tub and swimming pool private which a floating breakfast is also served.
The establishment has a heated indoor pool and an outdoor pool lit by stars (Very top!), a boutique, a sauna, a luxury spa, and a fitness center. It also offers free shared transfers to and from the airport and car and motorcycle rental services.
This hotel in Mykonos has the La Veranda Restaurant, an establishment with sea views that serves innovative Mediterranean dishes with Greek products, and the Trigo Restaurant, where guests can enjoy a rich and abundant buffet breakfast every day.
