Downtown Kansas City, the best place to stay in Kansas City
One of the main advantages of staying in the center of Kansas City is the enormous ease with which it is possible to get around all the city areas on foot or by public transport. The Kansas City Trolley has 16 stops throughout the city, providing easy access to all significant neighborhoods of interest. The KC Downtown Streetcar’s departure line, which runs approximately two miles north-south, runs from the River Market to the historic Union Station, traveling down Main Street. Stops include the Central Business and Convention District, Power & Light District, and Crown Center, not to mention the many businesses, restaurants, art galleries, and residences you might see or visit along the way. Best of all, riding the Kansas Streetcar is free for all riders.
On the other hand, if you plan to travel by car through the center, there are about 40,000 parking spaces in the middle of Downtown, so it will be pretty easy to find places to park. Although the Kansas airport is a 17-minute drive from the city center, it is worth staying close to the city’s activities to enjoy what it offers. Such as its trendy bars and restaurants of Power & Light, attend the many events at the theaters or the stadium, and visit the main enclaves of cultural interest.
Country Club Plaza Area
